About the Celebration
When a boy becomes a “B’nai Mitzvah,” they become responsible for all of their own actions and all of the Jewish laws pertaining to adult Jews. We recognize this new level of responsibility by having them read from, and bless the Torah before an entire congregation, in the presence of family and friends. This day culminates a great deal of preparation and hard work, and it is truly one of the most important events in the life of a Jewish boy/girl. We are excited to welcome you to our celebration, and to our congregation.
